The Mozilla Day Kolkata, 2014

Mozilla is Something which always use to Excite me while I was in School ; thus when I came to College i saw some of my seniors roaming around in Google T-shirts so I searched the “WEB” and discovered the all new word of Mozilla and Mozillians. I contacted them and finally same up with the Event and thereby inaugurating the Mozilla Club@WBUT….Organizing the event wouldn’t have been possible without Swarnava Sengupta and Ayan Choudhury help ….The Most Interesting part was the MozDay Kolkata was more a celebration of Firefox’s 10th Anniversary…!!!

Venue:- West Bengal University of Technology.
Date & Time:- 11th November,2014. 11 am onward.

Goals & Metrics of This Event:

1. Kick start of the Firefox Club at West Bengal University Of Technology
2. More Voluntary involvement in Firefox OS
3. Created Makes in Webmaker
4. Womoz – Women and Mozilla
The event started of with the introductory speech of Soumya Deb, followed by Sumantro a brief session on Webmaker followed by Biraj Karmakar, brief session on Localization & FSA program and then followed by Sreemegha Guha, who gave the session on WoMoz. Ayan choudhary took a session on Support Forum
After these quick sessions the inauguration ceremony took place followed by lunch.
Loved the event it was my 1st event with Mozilla AND I was the Organizer…Loved the feeling…
